A weeding garden trowel has a long blade with a forked end, making it suitable for weeding by allowing it to dig to the base of a weed and pull it out by its roots.
It can be used for cutting roots and cleaning grass from in between stone tiles.
To remove weeds, all you need to do is place the forked end of the blade under the base of the weed and push down on the handle to remove it.
The weeding garden trowel can come in two varieties: standard and heavy duty.
Standard weeding garden trowel
The standard type is used for more general weeding such as digging up dandelions. Due to the narrowness of the blade, it can reach down to the base of a dandelion, which has very long roots, without disturbing other plants around it.
There is only one size available, with an overall length of 317.5mm (12.5″) and a weight of 198.5g (7oz).
The size of the blade is 44.5mm (1.8″) wide and 177.8mm (7″) long.
Heavy duty weeding garden trowel
The heavy duty weeding garden trowel has a serrated cutting edge which enables it to cut thick roots. Thick roots can get in the way when transplanting bulbs or small plants, so need to be cut to create an empty hole for the plants.
There is only one size available, with an overall length of 330.2mm (13″) and a weight of 198.5g (7oz).
The size of the blade is 63.5mm (2.5″) wide and 152.4mm (6″) long.
